INFLUENCIAL MUSIC VIDEOS- RITA ORA
The dance routine and colours in this music video are very similar in what we want to achieve in our music video. The dance routine is simple and repetitive yet effective, this is what we aim to achieve as we don't know any professional dancers or choreographers a simple dance routine such as this would be perfect. When the dance routine begins it is very fast cutting and there are a range of different shots like close ups and mid shots however there are no long shots, this is effective as it allows the audience to engage with the artist more as the camera is always close to her. The angles used to film the dance routine are very simple only having one from the front and one from the side angles and they cut between this using different transitions including the flashing from different shots. The simplicity of the two shots is effective also because the colours are very vivid which makes it enticing and makes you want to engage in it more, as well as the colours going from black and white to colour makes it interesting. At the beginning of the music video it seems as though it is going to be a fully black and white video until we are flashed with the colour, for example at 0:37 we are flashed with the vivid bright pinks, blues and purples which catches the audiences eyes which makes the music video really exciting and makes you want to watch more. We plan to do something similar by having the flash of loads of colourful shots at the begining to make the music video exciting from the start so that they want to carry on watching it. I think that bright colours are vital in a happy dance song which is what we want to achieve to make sure that our lead singer looks as though she is having a good time and is carefree.
INFLUENCIAL MUSIC VIDEOS- RIHANNA
This is influential to our music video as it has the typical conventions of a dance music video just like we plan to have however it still has the sense of star image which is want we want to achieve. You can clearly identify who is the main singer and that is what we want with our music video. It also has the similar style in which we wish to have in our music video being the sort of clothes you would find in vintage/ charity shops, like big denim jackets. I really like the way the video is very casual like a documentation of her life, she is seen having fun and messing about and being carefree, i really want to achieve this in our music video but without so much of a clear narrative. We want our narrative to be more fun and carefree rather than this one that turns to be quite upsetting and deep towards the end.

WEEK 9- BRICK LANE SHOOT
We have done our brick lane shoot and during this shoot we decided to take some photos that we could potentially use for our digipak once we begin to make them, these are a few of the photos that we took, i really like the colour in them although i think that the quality could have been better, im hoping that when it comes to me starting my digipaks i am able to edit these on photoshop and make the quality better. This shoot was overall successful and i think will stand out the most out of all the shoots because of the colour and interesting urban costume and hair.

LEAKE STREET SHOOT MAKEUP
This is my attempt in recreating this look for the leake street shoot. I have decided to make the eyes a little more subtle not adding the fake lashes, and having it less smokey as i feel this would suit our genre more.
