Our classmates thought that the things that were especially good about the music video was the performance they thought that it was very attention grabbing and that the visuals in the background were really interesting in terms of colours. They liked that there was a good range of locations and liked the editing in terms of how the montage at the end and beginning was put together with fast cuts. They thought that it seemed like a real music video because of the good edits and cuts. And lastly they thought that the styling was really good of the star in terms of her clothing and hair and makeup. We were really happy with what they thought were the positive side of the music video however they also gave us feedback on what was missing/didnt look right in the music video, one example of this would be that many of them thought that some of the shots were out of sync, however we were aware of this as a group and knew what we had to do to improve this, They also said that in some shots it seemed as though she wasnt actually singing, this was a problem as in one of the shoots our lead singer gabi felt embarresed with everyone watching her and didnt perform to her full potential, we decided to cut these clips down to make sure that the parts in which she didnt look as though she was singing were not there and we replaced them with better shots with better performance. We also were told that the scenes that she was standing by london bridge in southbank were too casual in terms of styling. We counter argued that by saying that this is what it was supposed to look like as she was supposed to look more casual as the theme of our music video is freedom so we wanted to show her being free travelling around london having fun, we were then told that this may be true but this needs to feature more in our music video so that it doesnt get drowned out by the performance shots and also the colours need to be brought up to make it look less dull and more bright. As a group we have decided to re shoot this particular part, this is because we decided that we would capture the more casual travelling around london concept and also have her travelling on the train to show that even further. We will encorporate this all throughout our music video and hopefully this will show the theme of freedom even more in our music video.
