These are snippets from both the shoots edited with the music put onto them. This has given as a rough idea of what they will look like when we begin to edit them properly and this has given us a mini practice of learning how to sync it all with the sound.

WEEK 7- THOUGHTS SO FAR

So far I am really happy with how our planning of our music video is going. We have faced some rough patches as a group with concerns to different ideas with the visuals and colours, but we have overcome this by compromising to suit everyone so that we all make an end product that we are all happy with. I feel as though we are nearly ready to move onto the next stage of filming and getting our music video together ready for our sessions in the editing suit, i am confident that when we go to film we will have a positive outcome because of the planning and preparation we have done and i feel as though if we hadnt have done this planning we would have negative outcomes from filming and would need to reshoot often. Overall i am pleased with how the music video project is going so far.

WEEK 6- AUDIENCE RESEARCH FEEDBACK

From this questionaire we found that most people of our target age group listen to the genre of pop. 4 out of 9 of our audience members found said that pop was their was their favourite genre and the second most popular genre would be hip hop and r&b. We found that people would expect to see in a music video dancing, flashing lights and a music video that relates to the actual lyrics of the song. They said that the colours had to be enagaging and the music video had to be entertaining for it to be watchable and keep your inticed. We then asked then what they would expect to see in a dance music video. They answered that as it is a dance song there must be dancing, and that it should have a happy vibe to it, keeping it very smiley. They also thought that a coordinated dance would look really good.
We then pitched our idea across to them and ask them what they thought, they thought that these ideas made our music video sound fun and that it would make the video inticing. Alot of them agreed that the graffitti tunnel in london would look really cool and convey our urban vibe that we want. We then asked weather they think that this music video would appeal to our target audience of 15-25 year olds. We were told that it would if the colours were lively, however we were told that 15 years of age may be a little too young for our genre and music video idea and that 25 was a little too old, we were suggested that 17-20 years old would be more suitable. We also got told to include voyeurism in our music video as they believed this appealed to our mass market. We then asked if they would like to give us any ideas about our music video in terms of what we could add. We were told that we shouldnt just have the artist performing we should have some action and something going on so that the audience is more interested in the music video. We also were told to make sure that there arent to many people in each shot as the main star can get drowned out and confuse the audience. We were also told that a club scene would also look really good.
